PharmAchieve helps you succeed in the OSCE Exam PharmAchieve is the leader in delivering courses that help pharmacy graduates pass the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada's (PEBC) OSCE exam. We teach all our courses at our Bay Street location in downtown Toronto.
What makes us different:
- Our service orientation PharmAchieve is a Baha'i inspired organization founded upon the ideals of "work is worship" and "building civilization." Our founders deeply care about the course, deeply care about the success of their students. This philosophy of caring is reflected in our decision to become the first company in Canada to provide a one student per station policy (see below).
- Our course is designed to provide you with as much practice and feedback as possible. Our course has a group exercise and lecture component. But its sole purpose is to prepare you for practice in our simulated OSCEs. Following the lecture component, students practice and receive feedback at 60 stations.
- Our 1-student/1-station policy -- During our OSCE, we provide every student is given a private, unshared OSCE station at all times. This policy significantly increases the number of stations that can be practiced each day. To our knowledge we are the only company in Canada with standardized patients that offers a 1 student per station policy.
- We go to great lengths to simulate the real exam to help you develop confidence in a safe environment -- Our simulation of the OSCE includes private offices for every station. We use props, medications, references and patient profiles, and a buzzer that sounds at the correct time intervals. Our purpose is to provide you with a safe but realistic environment where you can develop the confidence you need to succeed in the real OSCE.
- Our People All our standardized patients are current or former members of the standardized patient programs of local medical schools and medical licensing councils. Our accomplished faculty have held posts at leading teaching hospitals (see lead instructor bios)and retail organizations. Several of our are instructors teach at the University of Toronto's faculty of Pharmacy. Our instructors collectively have certifications in Anti-Coagulation, Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Geriatrics, Neonatology.
- Video feedback-- We videotape you completing an OSCE station each day. Students who bring a USB key are given a free copy of their videos. Students tell us that their videos provide them with a highly valuable and honest form of feedback. There is often a remarkable difference between the first video and the last.
- Our small class sizes and low student to faculty ratio -- Our class size is limited to 20 students. And since we have a standardized patient and licensed pharmacist at every interactive station we have roughly twice as many instructors as students. This allows us to provide an exceptional amount of personalized instruction and 1-on-1 coaching.
- Our high pass rate and stellar student satisfaction ratings -- After each course students have the option of filling out a satisfaction survey with the instructors not present in the room. On a 5 point scale that ranges from "highly unsatisfied" to "highly satisfed," we are proud to report that 100% of the 60 students indicated they were "highly satisfied" with our course. We are proud of these satisfaction ratings and are happy to share the original hardcopies.

“It was five weeks before the exam. I had just finished taking courses from two other companies and yet I still felt unprepared. I often became nervous when answering questions – even if I knew the answer. After taking PharmAchieve’s course, I felt much better prepared. The difference in quality was amazing. I passed the OSCE on my first try. Were it not for their course I do not think I would have passed the exam”
