This package supports Ontario pharmacists with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to prescribe for 33 minor ailments. It includes minor ailments that are already in the scope of practice for minor ailments prescribing, and some that are expected to be added to scope later. Some may be subject to conditions or restrictions specified by the College or the Ministry of Health. The package will be regularly updated to align with the latest information and guidelines.
IMPORTANT: In May 2026, the Ontario Health Minister announced that 9 ailments will be included to scope of practice for minor ailments prescribing from July 2026, and 5 are expected to be added in early 2027.

Assessment
- All assessments are completed online and consist of multiple-choice tests based on case studies for each minor ailment presentation
- A minimum grade of 70% is required to pass. 4 attempts are provided to achieve a passing grade
- Students receive their results online and can access their statement of completion only after passing
